All machines currently communicate on the Gtech central system with a proprietary protocol originally developed by IGT, known as ICIS. SAS Protocol is the number 1 protocol in the world. (800,000 machines alone in North America) It will fully support the needs of our jurisdiction. The SAS protocol was recommended to the Division by Gtech, Gaming Laboratories International and the Gaming Standards Association. (leading industry representatives) The Division anticipates an increase in machine manufacturers with programming experience in SAS. (recently we have added 6 new machine manufacturers to the market.) BENEFITS OF THE SAS PROTOCOL?
New VSC software (Build 25) delivered January 15. Two versions of VSC software. (Debug and Standard) Currently running 24 site controllers on SAS. –Running 137 ICIS and 127 SAS machines. Ethernet (future of communications). Anticipated phone line and fiber problems. –Will be polling all locations next week. Where are we at with SAS?
