Expat Health - First Aid - 2 REVISED: Barbey 05/2003 First Aid and Immediate treatments Basic first aid can save lives in an emergency  stay calm and assess the situation  Do not put yourself in danger  Only help if it is safe to help  Assess the casualties  deal with anyone who is unconscious first  send for medical assistance as soon as possible
