Density Problems Two Advanced Density Problems

Brick vs Sponge

A solid sphere of gold has a circumference of 31.4cm and a mass of 10,100g. Use this information to determine the density of gold in g/cm 3.

On the surface of the earth, under normal atmospheric conditions, the density of air is 1.29kilograms per meter cubed (kg/m 3 ). If a classroom is 4 meters high, 5 meters across and 6 meters wide, what is the mass of air in the room in kilograms? Convert that number into pounds assuming 1kilogram = 2.2 pounds.
