Job Announcement / Description Position – Assistant Professor/Cropping Systems Agronomist Tenure Track – 75% Research, 25% Extension Expectations - The successful candidate will be expected to develop and implement a nationally and internationally recognized research program that focuses on cropping systems centered on peanut production. Responsibilities - Develop and conduct an applied research program on cropping systems that: (1) is based on peanut response to rotation with other agronomic crops and certain vegetable crops, (2) determines the impact of tillage systems, fertility, and pest management on yield and quality, and (3) develops a systems approach to peanut production that ensures profitability and sustainability.
