Breakfast  Service from 8:55 a.m. - 9:05 a.m.  Students must take at least of two items  Examples  Cereal and peaches  Bagel and milk/orange juice 2012/2013

Lunch  Service runs from 11:40 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. 2012/2013 Grade Level 30 minute Lunch Period K12:50 p.m. - 1:10 p.m. 111:50 a.m. - 12:20 p.m. 211:40 a.m. - 12:10 p.m. 3 1:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. 412:25 p.m. - 12:55 p.m. 512:15 p.m. - 12:45 p.m.

Please Note  Milk is offered at breakfast and lunch*  Students are not required to take milk * Only students with documented milk allergy can have orange juice instead of milk 2012/2013

SNAP (computerized cash register system)  Each student is issued a four digit PIN number  Students learn their PIN numbers  PIN numbers are not shared  Students enter PIN number into keypad at register to make purchases in cafeteria 2012/

Account Information  Parents/Guardians can pre-pay any amount on their child’s WinSNAP account  Payments can be made by:  cash  check  online 2012/2013

Account Information Payment by check:  Make check payable to Garrett Park Elementary School or GPES Cafeteria  Write child’s first name, last name and PIN number on check  Send check to school with child or deliver to cafeteria manager 2012/2013

Account Information Payment online with credit or debit card:  Go to  Click on “Enroll Now.” /2013

Account Information  To register for an account you need to provide:  student’s school, grade, birth date, and student ID number (not PIN).  credit or debit card information.  Select:  amount you want placed in your child’s account.  Automatic Pre-Payment option, if desired. 2011/2012

Account Information After you register for online account, you will be able to:  make a payment  check meal account balances  sign-up for recurring payments  view what your child is buying (and much more) 2011/2012

Account Procedures  Letters are sent home to parents/guardians when: * student’s account is low * student’s account has negative balance  Students receive cheese sandwich for breakfast or lunch when there a negative balance of $10.00 or more  Due to budget constraints, GPES cannot loan money for meals 2012/2013

Household Application for Free and Reduced-Price Meals (FARMS) 2012/2013  Applications for FARMS are sent home during the first week of school  If financial circumstances change during the school year, parents can submit application (applications are available in main office)  New applications must be submitted each year  To maintain service for participants in the program last year, an application must be submitted before Friday, September 29, /2013

Additional Information  If a student is late and he/she is buying lunch, he/she must sign-in at main office and go to the cafeteria to order lunch  Help your child learn their PIN number  Contact Mrs. Bond to place restrictions on a student’s breakfast/lunch account 2012/2013
