International Innovation Projects Engineering Polymer Center In November, 2007 the Engineering Polymer Center was opened - it is a joint project of OAO RZHD, SPBGU, OOO IP, SKZ GmbH (Wurzburg, Germany) Goals of the Project: gathering, analysis and systematization of information, concerning development and implementation of modern constructive polymer materials in world practice ; holding science-practical conferences on the opportunities for construction polymer materials and new technologies for recycling them; development of innovative technologies for creating and recycling construction polymers, creation of new pilot batches and their implementation. Russian-German Institute of Polymers conducts R&D for RZHD in co-operation with Saint-Petersburg State University and the leading universities of the city.

At present all necessary dynamic tests are as a rule ordered in foreign countries, and the Russian centre will allow to make an import replacememnt of the given services and grant unique possibilities to the foreign companies (a test for extreme temperatures from to – 60 0). The test dynamic centre will allow to inspect the working capacity of transport constructions, knots and materials under conditions of true operational loadings and environmental conditions inherent to various regions of Russia and other countries.
