IB PROGRAM The University of California guarantees a full year of college credit to IB Diploma recipients. HOW DO YOU GET A DIPLOMA? 7 courses: 3 Standard Level – 3 Higher Level + Theory of Knowledge IB courses require assessments; rubric score of IB courses have both internal (portfolio) and external (essay/objective) assessments. + EE: Extended Essay – 4,000 word senior thesis. + CAS: Creativity, Action, Service (150 hours)
