Photo Journalism Project Listen to Mo Willems’ Knuffle Bunny. List areas at Waverly. Use storyboard to sketch area. Sketch characters. Photograph site. Down load photo to your computer, save in your network folder. Place photo into a Word Document after page set up landscape. Add your caption. Print photo in the mini lab. Illustrate characters. Place character drawings in the scenes. Xerox photo with characters on top. Color characters using colored pencils.

Today’s Objectives: 1) illustrate storyboard with scene 2) write caption 3) draw characters a) only outline drawings b) do not shade in

Downloading Photos Hook cable to port Turn wheel on camera to triangle Turn camera on Launch iPhoto Click import Delete photos on camera Drag photos to desk top Open network folder and create New Folder for Media Photos Drag photos into folder Drag desk top photos into trash Click out of program Log out Shut down computer and place in cart.

Today’s Objectives Use the paper given to you as a template for the size of your characters. Make sure your characters are the right size for your photo--not too big and not too small. Only outline your characters. Do not shade in or use a lot of details. Make sure your characters reflect various ethnic backgrounds. Place all work in your folder.

Jobs 1)Create a word document. Use Landscape under Page set up. 2) Drag photo into a Word Document. Click twice on photo. Click Layout and move photo. Create a text box for your caption below your photo. (Make sure your Drawing has been clicked under View/Toolbars. 3) Write your caption in complete sentences. 4) Print your photo. 5) Create characters. 6) Cut out characters. 7) Glue cut-outs onto your photo. 8) Hand in to Mrs. Wall. 9) Photo will be Xeroxed. 10) Color characters.
