Chapter Issue: How should we respond to the opportunities that globalization provides for identity?

The process by which towns and cities are formed and become larger as more and more people begin living and working in central areas

AFFIRMATION  A positive, assertive action that provides opportunities to protect language, culture and values --- identity: Blood Tribe, Siksika Nation, Piikani Nation, Stoney and T’suuTina Nation  Provides opportunities to affirm their identity to people belonging to more than one ethnic group:  Hyphenated Canadians : Indo-Canadian, Japanese- Canadian, Italian- Canadian
