Secondary Math Tier I Priorities Engage students with the vocabulary of the standards (Interactive Word Wall) Use UPS Check for problem solving Implement math workshop model Increase rigor through effective higher-level questioning strategies

Elementary Science Tier I Priorities Use STEMscopes and AIMS as primary resources for instruction Engage students with the vocabulary of the standards Follow TEA guidelines for percentage of daily hands-on instruction (80% in K-1, 60% in 2-3, 50% in 4-5) Use 5E model for Tier I delivery

Secondary Science Tier I Priorities Create and evaluate formative assessments to more tightly align with the standards Provide appropriate instruction for SPED and 504 students Engage students with the vocabulary of the standards
