EU's Green Technology Roadmap Goals for 2020 reduce the emission levels by 20% of the levels in 1990 get 20% of energy would from renewable sources increase energy efficiency by 20% The EU is determined to spend up to $375 BILLION a year to cut greenhouse gas emissions by at least 80 percent by 2050 compared to 1990 levels.

More than 16 nations in Europe produced 15 percent or more of their electricity from renewable sources
