WG-2: Next Generation Alerting Summary of Assignment 1. Explore all aspects of next generation alerting 2.Develop recommendations for CSRIC’s consideration regarding actions the FCC should take to promote development of next generation alerting systems Two Approaches 1.Refinements and extensions of existing warning systems – Emergency Alert System & Commercial Mobile Alert System 2.New ideas and applications unrelated to these systems 2
