Palliative Care Initiative Palliative Care Student Rotations: Curriculum Overview

Palliative Care Initiative Palliative Care Student Curriculum: Goal Through empathic experiences with patients, families, and providers, students will demonstrate leadership and interprofessional teamwork in the provision of palliative care and/or in the establishment or furthering of palliative care initiatives in their rotation site and within that rural community. 2

Palliative Care Initiative A Different Kind of Rotation Learner-centered, learner-directed Students design a rotation based on their: – Health profession – Stage of educational development – Rotation requirements of their school or college – Palliative care services offered at the rotation site – Personal experiences and goals Individual design of learning activities and assessment 3
