Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research

Kentucky's National Science Foundation Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (KYNSFEPSCoR) Working in collaboration with the National Science Foundation (NSF), Kentucky's NSF EPSCoR assists to strengthen research and education in science and engineering. The vision of the KY NSF EPSCoR is to advance, encourage and develop long term improvements in scientific discovery, innovation and education throughout the Commonwealth. KY NSF EPSCoR’s goals: to provide strategic programs and opportunities for EPSCoR participants that stimulate sustainable improvements in their Research & Development capacity and competitiveness; to advance science and engineering capabilities in EPSCoR jurisdictions for discovery, innovation and overall knowledge- based prosperity

Collaborations We’re proposing financially supported involvement from institutions across the entire state, including UK, UofL, Morehead St., Western Kentucky University, Eastern Kentucky University, Kentucky State University (Kentucky’s only Historically Black College and University), and two community and technical colleges (Henderson & Bluegrass).

Diversity Plan We will strive for culturally, racially, ethnically, gender equality among our faculty, staff, student participants and collaborators. With Diversity in mind, our diversity coordinator will also collaborate with our 3 supported proposals to assure diversity plans that are established will be executed to the highest standard, where significant increase will be seen in the underrepresented population.
