 RAP Mission Statement: “To reduce the impacts of plastics in the marine environment by raising awareness of the dangers of plastic pollution and by advocating for a reduction of single-use plastics and the recycling of all plastics.”

 Approximately 30 ongoing Chapter campaigns ◦ New RAP Committee in Long Beach ◦ RAP Hawaii Chapters: Statewide Chapters Meeting focused on RAP ◦ DC Chapter Advocacy for bag ban ◦ PNW JUNKride Awareness Component - ◦ Virginia Beach: “2009 will be dedicated to a RAP campaign for the VA chapter” says Chapter Chair Ari ◦ Capt. Charles Moore to give boat tour at SoCal Chapters Conference ◦ RAP Select Committee of Activists (HI, OR, East Coast, SD, SF, LA, Monterey)
