NAVRATRA  Navratra is a hindu festival,which comes in september-october month.It is a festival dedicated to worship of the hindu deity ‘DURGA’.The word navratri literary means nine nighs in sanskrit. During these days nine forms of shakti/devi are worshiped.

SIGNIFICANCE  Navratri is celebrated five times a year.they are Vasanta navratri,Ashadha navratri,Sharad navratri and the paush/magha navratri.of these shrad navratri of the month of purtashiand the vasna navratriof vasna kalaare most important.the beginning of spring and autumn are considerd imporant junction of climatic and solaer influnces. The dates are determined according to lunar calander.

Food There are many foods of different variety are made in this festival. Some of them are-  Arbi ki kadhi  Chiroji ki dal  Pumpkin halwa  Khire ke pakode  Singhara atta ka samosa
