Cuba has been a communist country since its revolution in 1959, and we seem to be doing little about it, with the exception of the international embarrassment of the failed Bay of Pigs invasion 4 years ago. Back to Vietnam, countless soldiers are being killed because of political drama. I say let North Vietnam have the swamp that is South Vietnam, so we can bring back family and friends who were unjustly drafted. Hope after the war ends, if it does, we will learn our lesson and never again occupy a country that is doomed fail.

President Johnson was born on August 24, 1908 in Stonewall, Texas. He assumed the role of our President after the tragic assassination of John F. Kennedy. So far, we here at The Yearly Journal applaud his efforts at Civil Rights, Medicaid, environmental protection, aid to education, and his “War on Poverty”. However, we also believe that The US should pull out of Vietnam. President Johnson has done the exact opposite of this. He has increased the number of troops in Vietnam by a significant margin. Despite Vietnam, people of The US enjoy Johnson’s Domestic policy and generally he is generally viewed favorably.
