Family Food Connecting Producers to End-Sellers through the Association of Family Farms Copyright, 2007, Association of Family Farms

Create Value Chains Stimulate and concentrate the already burgeoning consumer demand for superior food choices; Channel the revenue from that demand through value chains; Ensure that food producers get enough revenue from consumers to maintain their families and communities.

What we do: Put co-ops together with end-sellers and other marketing partners; Educate consumers to ask for your products.

AFF Consultants Recruit primary end-sellers looking to work in value chains and schedule meetings with your co-ops; Locate distributors willing to set equitable distribution costs and percentages for your value chains; Line up distribution centers, aggregators, processors, branding agencies, marketing agencies, etc., who want partner with your chains.

Action Plan Recruit co-ops for national Q&A conference call in June; Interview co-ops to identify specific needs; Identify value-chain partners; Hold meetings at AFF Family Food Forum, September in Washington, DC; Build value chains; Sell to consumers.

Next Steps Identify potential co-ops; Recruit them to the national Q&A call in June.
