What Causes Acne? Caused by: –an interaction between hormones –Skin oils –Bacteria This results in an inflammation of hair follicles

What is Does to the Skin Bacteria, dried sebum, and dead skin cells clog pores Blocks sebum(oily substance) from leaving pores Black heads may develop

Signs and Symptoms Mild Acne: –Noninflamed blackheads –Moderate number of small pimples Severe acne: –Numerous large, red, painful lumps –Giants oozing abysses

How You Get Acne Anyone can get it Most common in teens going through puberty
