Martin Luther King was born in Atlanta Georgia and after experiencing racism early in his life he decided to try to make the world a better and fairer place. He campaigned to achieve equal rights for black Americans. He is famous for his speech ‘I have a dream’ and one famous line from it says ‘I have a dream that my four children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the colour of their skin but by the content of their character’. Dr King was assassinated on April in Memphis Tennessee.
