2 | TITLE OF DECK | February 24, 2015 WELCOME TO THE ABI.LOCAL COMMUNITY Building on the excitement and energy that is loved by tens of thousands of women and men who’ve attended the Anita Borg Institute’s annual Grace Hopper Celebrations in the United States and India, ABI.Local is a smaller gathering and offers the intimacy of a locally created community focused on technology innovation. At the Anita Borg Institute, we envision a future where the people who imagine and build technology mirror the people and societies who use it. Why include everyone? It’s simple: innovation. ABI.Local supports a local community of technical women in their quest to inspire and be inspired, bringing programs to the community like the GHC Viewing Party. You have the chance to hear from leading industry experts at GHC, network together and plug into your community of women in computing. I encourage you to take advantage of these opportunities. ABI.Local would not be possible without the support of the community volunteers who worked to create this event. On behalf of the Anita Borg Institute, we thank each of you. Enjoy, Connect, and Learn. Telle Whitney, PhD CEO and President, Anita Borg Institute
