(brainstorm) Assistant’s Role – Conflict resolution (role play) PE/Recess; Transitions: true stories, Who Am I? HANDOUTS: 2 nd plane characteristics, When and how to redirect, Observation

Assistant’s Role Aid in the maintenance of the environment Be a role model Help children to do it themselves – only assist when absolutely necessary Observe and share with guide Protect the lessons given to the children (VIDEO!!) (Break)

Be neutral/no preconceived notions Keep 2 nd plane characteristics in mind Keep self-construction in mind Offer suggestions such as: – “where is your work?” – “Are you interested in this work?” – “Do you need suggestions about choosing work?” – Perhaps offer for them to look in work journals/daily plan/goals, work in progress – “Is there a type of work you really want to do right now?”
