Alternatives Assessment Subjects method requires an alternate assessment framework. Students would be evaluated on educational activities workbooks, exhibitions and collective cultural enterprises. The teacher’s pedagogical and self-assessment pages which discussed teacher and student, learning context and social situations.

Positive social climate Varied and different Learning activities and teaching methods ecourage students to do their best academically and to help their fellows. The learning group has norms of behavior, emphasizing personal differences. Open communication and dialogue with the processes, working together as a team, as a group and as learners.

The expectation is that this type of learning will foster a strong motivation among the students in class to fulfill the goals set by the teacher. The positive environment and warm feelings of the students have an impact on the teachers as well as on the classmates.

History of the development of subject methods The Subjects method was developed by educators and parents from Kibbutz Mishmar Haemek in the early thirties of the twentieth century. The subject and context development were selected to go hand in hand with the lives of the children in the Kibbutz, and the ideology of the "Hashomer Hatzair" kibbutz movement. At this time most Kibbutzim had their own local small schools.

In the eighties and nineties of the 20 th century the small kibbutz schools were consolidated into larger regional schools. Drawing in many new students and staff. Changes in the central approach of the Ministry of Education changed the curricula in most regional collective schools

Renewal initiative of the "yoav" Regional Council In the late 90 s The Yoav Councils Education Committee in collaboration with parents and school staff decided to make the "subject Method" its unique method of education while editing and updating the subjects.
