Directions: Read the problem and solve the problem. Don’t forget to SHOW YOUR WORK! Sally bought 17 apples and oranges. Each of the fruits are $1.27. Altogether, how much money does Sally need to pay? How much does Sally need to pay for the 2 fruits separately?

Step 1-add together: 17 17

Step 2 ½- Multiply $1.27 x 34: $

Step 2- Multiply $1.27 x 34: $

Step 3- Add the numbers together and find the decimal place: $1.27 x

Previous answer was Sorry if you couldn’t see the decimal place

The first answer is $43.18

The rest of the problem was how much were the separately? What you have to do is the total amount last time just divide it by 2. This is the 1 st step of the 2 nd problem

The Answer is $21.59 for each of the separate fruit.
