Presentation transcript:

Dear Ladies and gentlemen, dear Mr. Regional principal of education, Mr. Mayor of our city. The management of our school, along with all the colleagues and the members of the student community of the 2 nd Vocational lyceum of Peristeri, always following our vision for fraternization (unification and unity), we are very honoured to welcome you to our school, a place we formed with special attention and love, especially for you.

The evolution and vision of our school, which has always been interested in such programs of cultural activities and co – operation, remain steady throughout the school years. However, the international development, having among others the characteristics of harmonization, has shown the necessity for everybody to be “participants” in important activity programs, such as “Comenius”.

We take it for granted that the educational unification is quite indispensable for an effective political – social – financial harmonization and convergence.

This fact constitutes an important challenge and invitation for all the current educational systems and organizations to be tested and makes them act, in a space much broader than what used to be their familiar one.

Moreover, they are asked to re – define the aims, the goals, the tutorial (practice) and the philosophy of the studying and enrich their didactive material, exploiting the international space as a source of learning and knowledge.

The aim of these programs is to sensitize their participants (the educational organizations) and give them the possibility to apply new methods and techniques in the teaching process, developing positively the relative results concerning the attitudes, the values and the new behaviors they are asked to promote.

Thus, it is quite important for education to consider, everybody’s contribution very valuable for the transformation of the simple interdependence and interaction to conscientious solidarity.

Confirming the dissimilarity of each one of us, looking back to our cultural references and re – enforcing the co – operation links within the team, we may reach the pursuit result, the development, the strengthening and the consolidation of a communication network capable for the realization of a broader cultural penetration where the dissimilarity and the homogeneity exists together and have a dialectical process and relationship.

The target of these programs for the culture and development of the students, social abilities and their critical mind is equally important for their evolution and normal enrollment, through co – operative procedures, in the new standard being formed in a democratic and socially open school, within a modern, universal, technologically and financially developed society.

Last, but not least, the embodiment of such programs in many national systems, among which ours as well, aims at the harmonization, the diffusion of knowledge, the inner qualitative upgrading, the modification of the school unity achievement and its culture, but also the distinction of its European and intercultural dimension.

For all these reasons above, not only the implementation of such programs is necessary, but also their application in global level since they don’t only educate us but they mainly unite us through the unbreakable institution laws and links, which introduce and transform the school to a society where democracy, peace and equivalent development preside.

I would like to thank from the deep of my heart first all those who actively contributed to continue and make this difficult task known. I especially would like to thank the families of all the participant students, since, with their support, provision and kind hospitality, this program will be realized. We must also take into account the contribution of all, who like “invisible heroes” worked for the success of this event.

My thanks address to the local Demotic Principle and the local Agents whose contribution was equally important and precious. I must also thank all of you for your presence, your interest and care you showed and I am calling you to a renewal of this creative meeting, hoping and believing to complete in the future meetings whatever may not be completed today. We must admit that the process in demanding for knowledge as well as democracy and freedom is continuous and the ideas and activities for their achievement are unlimited.

Closing, I wish you all have a nice time here, and, of course, good success to all the “protagonists” of their ceremony. Welcome to our school Christos Mouratidis Headmaster of 2 nd Vocational School
