Mark and Garry (As they were)

In Garry’s Own Words Garry sent this to StreetScene’s Newsletter in October 2007 Thanks to StreetScene I am now a fully fledged member of society and I am a tax payer! Who would have thought eh! I have never worked in my life before, ever. I was sleeping rough on the streets of the west end LONDON I could just about write and spell my name I had never used a computer in my life before. I came from Pentonville prison on a DTTO order and by doing as suggested by all the staff I have gone from strength to strength On the I was put on the payroll of StreetScene.. I am now in the final stage of my NVQ 3 how’s about that eh! and here I am sending you an e mail., I know I will keep doing so now thanks to StreetScene, helping me to have some faith in my self and others. I would like all the staff to know how grateful I am, and I will always be grateful to StreetScene as a whole. Especially you Tessa for coming up with StreetScene and Mark for putting up with all my.... in our one to one's. lol... Also I would like to thank Karen for all the training that she gave me while doing voluntary work at Allington!

Mark, in his own words StreetScene held, cared for, supported and mentored me. I was given the space and time to grow into a competent professional
