How to Use a Triple- Beam Balance by John Erickson Next

Balance Setup 1. Move all three sliders all the way to the left.sliders 2.Check to see if the balance reads zero.zero 2.If your balance isn’t reading zero so you need to turn the thumbscrew until it reaches zerothumbscrew

Balance Setup 4.Place the object on the pan. 5.Start with the largest sliders. Move them over until the balance tips. Then move back 1 space. 6.Do the same with the next slider. 7.Use the smallest slider to get the balance to zero.

Reminders 1.Zero the balance first! 2.The two largest sliders MUST be IN A GROOVE! 3.Add all the amounts up to get the total weight.

Reading Sliders  Read each of the sliders and add their weights together. The sliders indicate the mass is: 373 g
