How can I prevent an egg from breaking from five meters?

If I use cushioned and soft materials like cotton or bubble plastic or Styrofoam the impact to the egg will reduce. Then the egg will have a soft and slow decense so it will not brake.

o 1 st :gather all your materials and make up your package o 2 nd :try your package more than 3 times throwing it from 5 meters o 3 rd : If it got broken or cracked design again other package until its ready. o 4 th :get ready for next class with the package and be CAREFUL! o 5 th leave your package were Mr. Vega assigned the class o 6 th :wait until your package is thrown o 7 th :Open your package and observe carefully if any crack o 8 th :Then share the results and take observations to it o 9 th :Finish enjoying your results and have fun!

Yes, my egg did survived from the five meter thrown. I think the egg was very cushioned and softened that’s why I think it didn’t crack or something like that. When the egg package felt there wasn't any sound because I think the foam at the bottom of the Styrofoam received all the impact. Also I noticed that there was a little bit of wind so that helped to cause the package was like flying all around so that reduced the impact.

During this experiment I learned that much materials that are friendly with the planet could help to reduce the impact to the package. Also I learned that they are many creative and fun packages that you can do as mine that is an excellent idea for a package. Some idea you can do last time or to people that are just thinking of it,for example, you can put lots of bubble plastic and Scott paper then you can put a big piece of Styrofoam in the bottom so it will reduce the force of the wind. One of the best strategies to be successful with this project is trying it lots of time and like that you can be sure what adjustments you have to do. If I do this project some day I will put no much things only a parachute so it will reduce more the velocity that is going with. I learned much things seeing other interesting projects because there were ones that were kind of very simple but the survived to the thrown. Also I saw a very interesting one that was kind of a Styrofoam ball and inside it was only cotton it was really amazing.
