Why Do We Exercise? Help prevent disease Keep our bodies in shape and functioning properly.

What disease can exercising help prevent? Coronary(Heart) Disease Diabetes Some Respiratory Diseases Exercising only helps prevent, DOESN’T mean you WON’T develop the disease

What does exercise do? Helps prevent diseases Decrease weight/tone up the body Increase flexibility Increase cardiovascular system/Stamina Help with mood disorders Rehabilitation of injuries

How much exercise do we need? 30 minutes 5 times a week Total 2 ½ hours
