TRANSITION ACTIVITIES  Q & A with high school counselor immediately following presentation  January 12 th -Assembly with 8 th graders to receive Course Description Guides and Course Selection Sheet  Follow up parent meetings at the middle school assigned by alphabet (Jan 30 th -Feb. 1 st ), hosted by Mrs. Ingoglia and accompanied by high school counselor (make up night meeting Feb. 8 th with 8 th grade counselor and Director)

TRANSTIONING ACTIVITIES cont.  8 th grade “Bridge Days” to high school week of March 28 & 29 for tours and presentations.  Freshman Orientation- Tentative Date: Aug. 28  First Month of High School:  Assembly with Administration and break out sessions with counselor in smaller group  9 th Grade BBQ  Freshman Parent Night  Introductory Individual Meetings with counselor

HONORS POLICY And Student Placement  Students must have a minimum class average of 92 and a Regents examination (if applicable) or departmental assessment of 90 or better  Students will be placed in classes based upon progress through third quarter  Final placement will be made in June  Honors Appeal, if applicable
