Alexander Graham Bell born in Edinburgh and educated in London was born on 3 March At the age of 16 Bell began researching the mechanics of speech. In 1870 Bell and his family relocated to Canada and the next year he moved to the United states to teach deaf mute children. Then in 1882 he became a neutralised citizen. Early life
Bell had been fascinated about transmitting speech and by 1875 he had made a receiver which could turn electricity into sound however Bell was granted a patent for the telephone on the 7 th of march 1876 and soon bell was the owner of a telephone company making him rich and wealthy. By 1880 Bell was awarded the French Volta prize for his invention and with the money he found the Volta laboratory in Washington where he continued his inventions using communication working with Hellen Keller with others then in 1888, Bell was one of the founding members of the National Geographic Society, and served as its president from 1896 to 1904, also helping to establish its journal. Bell died on the 2 nd of August 1922 at his home in Nova Scotia.,which was very unfortunate, He will be remembered for his great invention the Telephone and for never giving up Alexander Graham Bell. He will be missed. Legacy
