What is the mission you are studying and who founded the mission? San Luis Obispo de Tolosa Father Junipero Serra

Who founded the mission and when was it founded? Father Junipero Serra founded the mission on September 1, 1772.

Who lived at the mission and what Indian tribe lived at the mission? Spanish Christians that were very religious. Native Americans lived with them, but their tribe name was not mentioned.

Where is the mission located? In the city of San Luis Obispo at Monterey and Chorro streets.

What number is your mission? It was the fifth mission

What do I think about the mission? I think the mission was very strong but flammable. It was in a good location too.

List any special or unique qualities about the mission. The people who lived there were happy because when they ran low on food they could eat the big populations of bears. The native Americans were nice but some tried to drive them away by throwing flaming spears on their houses.

What was life like at the mission? It was hard working and scary from animals and native Americans who wanted to burn down their houses and drive them away.

Did native Americans like their lives on the mission? Yes they did but not all of them did. Some wanted to drive the white men out of town.

What did the mission grow? They grew livestock and plants like roses and trees.

Was your mission ever damaged and was it fixed? Yes, it was fixed though.
