MVA HUNGARIAN FOUNDATION FOR ENTERPRISE PROMOTION Foundation: The Hungarian Foundation for Enterprise Promotion (MVA) is an independent organization established in 1990 with the intent to encourage the formation and development of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Hungary.. Status: Acting as a service provider the overall objective of the MVA is to promote, through various services, the development of the Hungarian SMEs, a sector of particular importance in terms of social and economic policy. Services are offered to start-up micro enterprises as well as SMEs which are capable of gaining strength and financial standing in the marketplace. The European Union in the 1992 year, appointed MVA as the executive body of the PHARE program for SMEs, as well as preferential credit for businesses since 1992 to distribute National Microcredit Programme Coordinator. Goals: In the year 2000, MVA drew up a new medium-term strategy, revised since its founding and taking into account the results achieved in the meantime, the domestic enterprise development and changes. Next to coordinating the programs has taken up the role of program manager as well The main objective of the MVA nowadays is the increasing of competitiveness of the Hungarian micro, small and medium enterprise sector to help cope with the current European single market conditions. In the year 2000, MVA drew up a new medium-term strategy, revised since its founding and taking into account the results achieved in the meantime, the domestic enterprise development and changes. Leonardo BUS program Starting from January 1st 2007 the Leonardo da Vinci program has become a part of the Lifelong Learning program as part of the vocational training field, directed from outside the academia The Leonardo da Vinci Programme of the European Commission in 1994 launched a cooperative program of vocational training. The first phase was completed on the 31st of December 1999, with the aim of achieving an EU vocational training policy and training policy, the harmonization of Member States. From 1 January 2000 a new phase was followed by seven years. From 2007, the program integrates into the new Lifelong Learning Programme ( ).
