Płońsk as en example of town economic development Key economic Factors in Developing Towns as the Basis For Peace Building

Town development constitutes part of the concept of rural development an basic activities with the intention of acheving the aims of the community in creating development programs by applying for funds from both the state and from EU. Development Priorities  Tovn economic development.  Development of technical infrastructure.  Good housing and recreation conditions.  Community Education.

Economical Development- basic Criteria. Job place creation, maximising pay,expanding markets for lural products, minimalising cost Meeting the needs of the Community transarency of local gouvernement, high level of technology. Respecting the natural enviromental resource: Extending and preserving resources, reducing pollution, careful area planning. Equally Spred Local Development

Economic Development 2.2. Local authority:  Creates a good atmosphere for developing and settingup new companies/entreprises- to date there are over 2000 firms.  Takes advantage of EU funds for the development the infrastructure, and education.  Organasig meetings Plonsk entreprises with Town Tween partners entreprises.  organising help for employent unamployed personns,  activing the unamployed personns with spetial workshop,  Encourages potential investors to set up their business activities on the basis of the Regional Development Plan covering the years 2007 to 2013.

Technical Development of the Infrastructure 2.2.  Improvements to the communication system of the town by constructing new roads.  Environmental Protection Program for the town to The town of Plonsk is carring out the folowing projects:

Developementof technical infrastructure  Plan to manage the towns waste disposal to the year  Program to improve the quality of buildings in the town

Development of technical infrasructure.  Modernization of the town’s community heating system.

Good housing and recreational conditions  Implementation of unconventional source of community heating withim the framwork of the RPOWM program. Action 4.3 Clean air protection.  And to this aim: forming an association „All for everyone”  Active use of EU funds for the purpose of improving the living conditions for local inhabitants „ Instalation of visual monitoring system in selected places under the Town Revitalization Program” organization of I st. Plonsk Energy Exhibition under the patronage of the Mayor of Plonsk.

Good housing and recreational conditions.  Working with partnership towns as an integration activity: Organization of cultural and sports events. Meetings of partnership town within the framwork of the „Europe for Citizens Program.” International swimming competition. International youth exchange program between schools.

Community education 2.2.  Investment in school through: Creation of an Educational Centre and Profilaktyk, Integration Environment in Goszczyce Wielkie. Renovation, modernisation and management of the grounds of Gimnazjum Nr 1. Construction of a multi-functional sports area with syntetic surface next to High School Nr. 2 Construction of sports hall next to Elementary School Nr.3.

Community Education 2.2.  Plonsk-the Youngest Town in Mazowia There are 5 Pre-Schools in Plonsk accommodating 500children 2 Primary Schools with a total of 1500 pupils. 3 junior High Schools with a total of 1350 pupils. 11 post –Junior High School Educational Institutions. A branch of the Helen chodkowska College of Management and Low.

Community Education  Cultivation of extra-curricular interests for young people: Sports Club „Tęcza 34”. Swimming Clubs Korsarz and PUKS. ZHR scout and its young following. The Town Cultural Center
