Referendum Schedule Approval of Referendum by Board of Education November 10, 2014 Submit ballot question to ballot builders (currently at Kennesaw State University) for statewide election Week of December 22, 2014 Publish notice in local newspaper Weeks of 2/9/15, 2/16/15, 2/23/15, 3/2/15, 3/9/15 E-SPLOST referendum held – March 17, 2015 School Board meets to confirm, declare and approve election results (5 days or later after the election date) Called meeting week of March 30, 2015

Purposes of Sales Tax 1. Adding to, renovating, repairing, improving, and equipping existing school buildings and school system facilities. 2. Acquiring and/or improving land for school system facilities. 3. Acquiring miscellaneous new equipment, fixtures and furnishings for the school system, including technology equipment, tablets and laptops, and safety and security equipment. 4. Acquiring school buses and other vehicles, transportation and maintenance equipment. 5. Acquiring books, digital resources, and other media for the school system. 6. Constructing and equipping new classroom space including a performing arts center at Dawson County High School.
