Greenhouse Effect Lab

If we continued to record the temperature for 30 minutes how do you think the graphs would have been different? Greater temperature difference between the two containers Temperatures would have increased even more

How did this lab demonstrate the greenhouse effect?

In addition to the greenhouse effect, what else did this lab show us? How different materials and colors on the ground can impact temperature

Which container had the warmest temperature overall? Small Container

Explain why you think it had the warmest temperature? Smaller area / less air to warm up

Which container had the coldest temperature overall? Water with lid

Explain why you think it had the coldest temperature? Water takes longer to warm up than the other materials

Name at least 5 experimental errors from this lab Lamps at different heights Different amounts of substances in the containers Thermometers at different heights Light not directly over both of them Taking the temperature at different times besides every 30 seconds Different starting room temperatures Didn’t turn on/off the light at the correct time No tight seal from the lid
