MIKOŁAJ Kopernik -Stopped the Sun and moved the Earth.  He is one of the greatest astronomers in the history of the world. He proved that the Earth and planets revolve around a stationary Sun. At age 18, he enrolled at the Faculty of Liberal Arts at the Academy of Krakow, which was known as a center of study in mathematics, astronomy and the humanities.

Maria Skłodowska – Curie - Polish Nobel laureate  She has built a device for measuring radioactivity and her husband discovered two radioactive elements - polonium and radium. For this achievement, in 1903 received the Nobel Prize in physics.
