Aims: To explore the use of mood boards as a source of inspiration when designing; To reflect upon teaching and learning strategies when implementing a design opportunity; To use 3D CAD / computer aided design to model a concept for CNC manufacture; To use the CNC router/software to CAM / manufacture.

A Design opportunity using CAD / CAM: Design a decorative tea light holder that will: ensure safety whilst the candle is burning; is safe whilst moving around when alight; is desirable to the consumer; enhances the room décor; ease of manufacture. Research / Explore interlocking shapes / arthropods.
