A connective is a word used to join two sentences together. AND, BUT, SO, BECAUSE are all examples of simple connectives I went to the shop. I bought some sweets. becomes I went to the shop and I bought some sweets.
Use a connective to join these sentences: 1. We did not go outside. It was raining. 2. John went to the shops. Peter went to the shops. 3. I had done my Maths work. I had not done my English work. 4. Steven was very naughty. He went to bed without supper.
