What is an entrepreneur? Someone with an idea for a product or a service. Entrepreneurs have energy, vision, optimism and a willingness to try something new.

What do entrepreneurs do? Entrepreneurs create a business around their idea to sell that product or service. Why do they do it? –To improve existing products or services –To fill a gap in the market with something new

Creativity and Risk Taking Entrepreneurs come up with ideas to improve old products or services…

Creativity and Risk Taking …or come up with new ones!

What are the benefits? Being an entrepreneur requires motivation! Will I make money? Am I helping others? What are the rewards?

Entrepreneurs take risks in organizing resources to produce goods and services for profit. –Lots of research! What is profit ? When buyers purchase the product or service at a price high enough to cover production.

Some Entrepreneurs You May Know: Mark Zuckerburg CEO and co-founder of face book. In 2004, Mark began facebook from his dorm room at Harvard. He was 19 years old.
