“Whats on offer at our school” Physical Activity

The definition of Physical activity is :any body movement that works your muscles and uses more energy than you use when you're resting. Walking, running, dancing, swimming, yoga, and gardening are examples of physical activity The benefits of physical activity are: better overall health more energy lower stress levels increased self-esteem better posture and balance better weight management and weight control improved fitness stronger muscles and bones better sleep and feel more relaxed (taken from MOH website)

The sports our school currently offers are: Rugby, Soccer, Cricket, Netball, tennis, Hockey, Touch, cross country, triathlon, swimming, petanque, lunchtime zumba, golf, badminton, volleyball

The 3 main reasons our students participate in physical activity are :

Why is participating in physical activity and sport significant? Leadership skills Compete against other schools Stay fit and healthy Strong muscles Make friends

Does our school offer good physical activity opportunities? : Mostly, but we could offer more sports and activities like Rockclimbing Hockey Lunchtime swimming Indoor Bowls
