Findicator – Key National Indicators of Finland Ville Vehkasalo / National Audit Office of Finland

2 In October 2009, the Findicator service was launched A selection of statistics that measure the progress of the Finnish society Contains about 100 different indicators Joint project with the Prime Minister’s Office and Statistics Finland (NB: NAO not involved!) Can be found in Currently only in Finnish – English version maybe next year?

3 The indicators are grouped in two ways: by themes and by government policies Themes include: energy, education, culture, participation, economy, health, income, safety, labour markets, population, infrastructure, and environment For each theme, there is a corresponding government policy or policies: for instance, energy indicators can also be found under “climate and energy policy”

4 Indicators are updated whenever new data is available Each statistic is presented graphically and as a short written summary Users can also download data as an Excel-file Links to further information and international comparison data are also included
