THE IMPORTANCE OF BLOOD IN THE SCRIPTURE THE FIRST RECORDED SACRIFICE INVOLVED BLOOD. Genesis 4:3-5 And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD. [4] And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering: [5] But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.

SACRIFICES OF OLD TESTAMENT LOOKED FORWARD TO CHRISTS’ SACRIFICE Hebrews 9:23-26 It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. HOWEVER.. MOST MEAN “WITHOUT ANY NEED FOR BAPTISM”. QUESTION: “BECAUSE JESUS SHED HIS BLOOD SO THAT MAN MIGHT BE SAVED.. DOES THIS NEGATE THE NEED FOR WATER BAPTISM?” NO!

LETS COMPARE THE TWO: Rev. 1:5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. BAPTISM IS INTO HIS DEATH WHERE THE BLOOD WAS SHED Romans 6:3-4 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? [4] Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

WE NOW SEE THE IMPORTANCE OF PETER’S STATEMENT: 1 Peter 3:21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ: IT IS THROUGH BAPTISM THAT WE COME IN CONTACT WITH THE PRECIOUS BLOOD OF JESUS.

TO DENY BAPTISM AS IMPORTANT TO ONE’S SALVATION: IS TO DENY THE.. PRECIOUS BLOOD OF JESUS.
