New Year Celebrated all over the world. December 31st night – January 1st. People countdown on large clocks Large fireworks displays are held.

Chinese New Year Known as Spring Festival Longest and most important Holiday in China Celebrate with Dragon and Lion dances February 9th-12th 2013

Christmas Celebrated on 25th of December People give and receive gifts People decorate a Christmas tree

Children’s Day Celebrated all over the world. For example Korea, China, Japan and America. Children receive gifts. Parents spend time with their children.

Bonfire Night Celebrated in the UK on 5th of November. People light a large bonfire. Fireworks are set off and children play with sparklers.

Thanksgiving Celebrated in the USA on the 4th thursday of November. People eat turkeys and spend time with their families.

Culture Day Celebrated in the Japan on the 3rd of November. To promote art and study.

Halloween Children dress up in scary costumes. Then go Trick or Treating to get candy from their neighbours. It is celebrated on the 31st of October.
