Overall Service Description Deployment of a community service platform for academic users and institutions Provide the set of services for the NRENs to offer it to their users Reduce the Time-To-Market

Goals To provide NRENs with a set of services that they can easily implement on their own portal To design a platform where administrators can select the services they are going to use To Build a strong collaboration platform where end users from different NRENs can register through their institution or the RedCLARA portal To become integrate with academic authentication federations

SELECTION OF INITIAL SET OF SERVICES - RESULTS Communities portal, based on Joom-social Wiki service Web-conference service based on MCONF Large File transfer service

Communities - Overall functionality The user will be able to create a community and share information with its members – Create a community and invite people to join it – Search, select and join to a community – Have easy access to communities, sorting by region or other selection criteria

Webconference - Overall functionality Users will be able to use the Webconference system to carry out meetings with colleagues, give presentations or virtual courses – Book a conference – Receive a link to enter a webconference directly. This link could be shared with other users who wish to join the conference.

Wiki - Overall functionality The users of the portal will be able to create a web page that can be edited by the all members of the community

Filesender - Overall functionality Allow ELCIRA users to share large files with others using the academic infrastructure. – Upload Files – Send links to the file to other users – Keep the files for a while and then, delete it
