Part Ⅱ Clear Speech Part Ⅱ Part Ⅲ Part Ⅳ Part Ⅰ 音节是由一个或几个音素组成的语言单位, 其中包含一个比较响亮的中心, 这个中心就是元音｡音节一般是以元音来划分的, 一个元音就是一个音节｡但是 也有一些辅音因为发音响亮, 也可自成音节, 如 : listen /`lisn/, present /`preznt/, little/`litl/ ｡ 由于音节的划分很复杂, 英国和美国有不同的划分方法, 不同的字典也有不 同的划分方法｡因此, 本书只要求学生了解音节的构成就可以了｡在书写的过程 中, 尽量把一个单词写在一行内, 请注意不要将一个音节中的辅音与元音分开, 如 :eight, 不可以划分为 ei·ght, 因为 ght 中不含元音或响音, 不能成为一个音节｡ 像 learning 这样带后缀的单词可划分为 learn·ing, 而不能划分为 lear·ning ｡ 音节 (Syllables)
