 Historical fiction is made up of stories that take place in a certain time and place in the past.  EX. A Boy at War, Across 5 Aprils, Ben and Me, The Butterfly, Charlie Skedaddle, Sign of Beaver, Titanic Crossing and Dear America Series

 Realistic Fiction is made up of stories that could really happen. Contemporary realistic fiction is set in modern times.  EX. Because of Winn Dixie, Crash, Owl Moon, Shiloh, Summer of Swans and Babysitter Club Series

 Folklores include stories, myths, and fables that people told one another over the years. Later the stories get written down.  EX. Aesop's Fables, Beauty and the Beast, The Bunyans, Cinderella, John Henry, The Talking Eggs and The Tortoise and The Hare

 Fantasy includes fiction that has elements that are not real  Sometimes this includes talking animals or characters with magical powers  There's usually a conflict between good and evil

 Often uses rhymes  In a manner that is felt by its user and audience to differ from ordinary prose

 Form of a nonfiction (true)  Story of a real persons life  Auto means self  Bios means life  Graph means to write  Written by the person the story is about  Author does not need to research  Author shares how he/she feels and what he/she thinks
