33 What I planned to accomplish Create a local format registry ; reliable identify files uploaded to the NEES data repository and start working on developing preservation planning policies. How I saw myself carrying out your plan The goal of this project is not establishing a full-scale file format registry, but rather establishing the sound fundamentals for its further growth What resources I neededSoftware developer, FITS tool, access to PRONOM and other resources related to file format identification. My expected challengesCollecting preservation metadata from more than 1 M files put stress on existing infrastructure. Time; competing priorities; integration into current architecture and workflows.
