Creating Learning Opportunities Across the EU From Friday 12th- Saturday 13th June 2015 South and City College Birmingham's Corporation met in Chester to analyse their contribution to the college's strategic development. Naz Khan and John Hillen took this opportunity to explain to governors the opportunities for future collaboration with other European partner organisations through the One2One: Project X methodology. Governors were impressed with the project and welcomed the possibility of future collaboration leading to more mobility between teachers and students across the European Union.

Background Several European funding streams to tap into Now the key funding source is Erasmus+ College has been investigating these for the past 2 years

Transfer of Innovation Since Oct 2014 SCCB has collaborated with 6 other European partners: Xabec, Vocational Training Centre- Spain Savon Ammatti- Ja Aikuisoppisto- Finland University of Pitesti- Romania Escola Profissional Val do Rio- Portugal Lycee Polyvalent Isaac Newton- France Konya Vocational & Technical School- Turkey

Aims of the Project A comprehensive methodology for the transfer of individuals between participating institutions Exchange will take place using ECVET, which is an agreed platform on which vocational credits are measured Greater access to European funding Increased numbers of students & teachers participating leading to improved outcomes

Where are we now? Approaching the end of the project (30 th September) We have collectively produced 21 exchange projects which are currently ‘live’ A college from the Netherlands is currently undertaking a One2One project SCCB has received their first European Intern from France who is completing a One2One on the Environment
