Welcome to the Year 9 Options Evening April 1 st 2015 “Working together for the best in everyone”

At the heart of the MCMA curriculum offer “Together we have the highest aspirations and expectations so that everyone achieves excellence in all they do and is equipped to achieve happy and successful lives.”

The Curriculum Offer English Language English Literature Maths Core Science Additional Science Compulsory History Geography Computer Science Triple Science French Choose at least one of: Spanish Then further choices to make a total of nine subjects.

The other part of the curriculum Our vision statement says we are committed to….. Equipping our students to lead “happy and successful lives” Their social, emotional and health education is therefore important to us, as is their Careers Education. All students will therefore also engage in: Core PE lessons PSHE and Careers Education

The option blocks…. Compulsory: English Language, English Literature, Maths, Core & Additional Science Block A History Geography Computer Science Health &Social Care Art Food Tech Block B French Computer Science Spanish History Geography CIDA Health & Social Care Food Tech Block C History Geography Media Health & Social Care Art Textiles Dance Business Block D Triple Science Business Media Music Drama Product Design PE Citizenship At least one Blue Subject must be chosen in total.
